Letting the “dust settle” on your new website
You’ve spent months working with your employees, clients, vendors; graphic designers, web developers, SEO Strategist, Content Writers, and anyone else who wants to throw in their .02 cents about your website. You have quality controlled all the pages, checked all the links, images, posts, pages and fine-tuned the website to the way that works for you, your customers, vendors and employees. You’ve worked with contact forms, CRM systems, Analytics, traffic reports and more, you deserve a small break.
Have you installed any website visitor tracking for your website ? Most web hosting control panels have a free traffic report on the dashboard. Many web hosting companies offer different types of traffic tracking software such as Awstats or webalizer. Awstats is accessible through the control panel dashboard under logs when using cpanel hosting. If you have plesk hosting you can go to Tools->Traffic from the dashboard of your web hosting control panel. You should see in about a month how your traffic is coming along for keywords that you have targeted as well as what search engine the traffic is coming from. It usually takes about 60 days to see where your website settles in the search engines. I would leave your website alone until you have the new data to support any modifications.
